Bullet Journal Index

A bullet journal index is a table of contents for your notebook.
List the page title and number so you can find it again without leafing through every page.
It's especially useful when project notes or collections appear in several places.
Bullet Journal Index Tips and Tricks
Here are a few ways to arrange an index that suits your notebook.
1. Use categories

Group entries by purpose if that helps you find them. You might use categories for trackers, family notes, or individual projects.
2. Split it in half into two columns
Divide an index page into two columns to fit more entries. You can also give each column a purpose, such as work and personal notes.
3. Make a color coded index
Assign a color to each category, then use markers, dot stickers, or washi tape to mark the relevant pages. The examples below show a few approaches.

4. Add dot stickers to color code your index

5. Use Washi tape

Notebooks with numbered pages
If your notebook's pages aren't numbered, add numbers yourself as you use them. Pencil or an erasable pen makes corrections easy.
These notebooks are examples with printed page numbers or index pages. Check the edition's details if either feature matters to you.

Alternatives to numbered pages
You can also find sections without page numbers. Colored tabs, stickers, or washi tape can mark the categories you return to often.
