My Favorite Bullet Journal Doodles

I've always enjoyed doodling, and my journal gives me somewhere to do it without planning a finished illustration. A few flowers in a margin can be enough. Here are drawings I've returned to in my own pages.

 Bullet Journal Flower Doodles

Rose

My friend Koko, who teaches anime and manga drawing, showed me how to draw this rose.

Simple Bujo Flower Doodles

Floral Wreath

For the wreath, I began with a pencil circle. Draw it freehand or use a circle-drawing tool, then add branches and leaves. Keeping the leaves on each branch facing a similar direction helps the wreath feel connected.

Mary Engelbreit Style Floral Doodles

My mother's stationery often featured Mary Engelbreit's art when I was a child. I liked the simple flowers and the contrast of black-and-white checks. Those details inspired this page.

Mini Floral Doodles

These small flowers came from an early weekly spread. I spent part of a Sunday drawing them without much preparation. Try one flower, then add another where the page has room.

Sunflower Doodles

I was pleased with the sunflowers on this 2019 spread. Their yellow petals gave the page a clear focal point.

Daisy Doodles

These daisies are loose, quick drawings. The leaves aren't botanically precise, but I like the cheerful shape of the flowers.

Other Bullet Journal Doodles

Konmari Doodles

After rereading Marie Kondo's book, I made a reference page for the KonMari order of categories and their smaller groups. The drawings helped me recognise each category at a glance.
