Bullet Journal Weekly Spreads ~ March 2021

These are my weekly journal spreads for March 2021, showing the layouts before and after I used them.

If you're new to the method, this bullet journal introduction explains the basics.

I returned to journaling after a long break. We'd moved twice, changed regions, adopted a dog, and gone through the start of the pandemic. I'd also begun other blogs, so there had been plenty happening.

My notebooks had stayed on the shelf for a while. Rather than waiting for a quiet stretch, I decided to try a few pages again and see how they fit.

March Bullet Journal Weekly Spreads - Theme

I chose greenery and time outdoors as the month's theme. Winter had left the trees bare, so I enjoyed drawing leaves on the pages.

Week 1

Sheylara's journal style inspired this layout. I drew the lines by hand and liked their slightly uneven look.

The words on the left come from 'Winning Days' by The Vines. I was a fan as a teenager and once saw them play live in Minneapolis, a show I still remember.

Week 2

I continued the leaf motif for the next week, marking the illustration areas before adding space for each day.

My March 2021 Bullet Journal Weekly Spread For Week 2

I'd been sharing the desk with a kindergartener, so the work surface in the photos shows plenty of use.

I liked how this spread turned out. I began with a loose idea and drew it without planning every detail.

Drawing directly in ink gave me practice making decisions as I went and working with the lines already on the page.

Week 3

This week's spread wasn't included in the original post.

Week 4
