Kids Summer Journal - Free PDF Printable!

I made a free printable summer journal for children. Download the PDF to make a paper journal, or use its pages as a starting point for your own version.
The idea came from a journal my grandmother gave me as a child: Pages and Pockets, from the American Girl Library. I still keep it, and I like being able to return to the things I wrote then.
I included the kinds of reflection prompts that interested me when I was young.
There is also a summer reading list and space to write about things your child would like to do. They can answer the prompts, draw, or leave a page for another day.
Download the summer journal PDF. Read the printing instructions below before making your booklet.
Printing Instructions

These are the settings I used on a Mac. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader, choose File > Print, and select Booklet. Open the Printer settings, then Layout, and choose short-edge binding for two-sided printing. Printer menus vary, so print a test copy before making several journals. Fold the pages in half and check that they appear in the right order.
