Bullet Journal Weekly Spreads To Inspire You In 2022

Weekly spreads are sets of facing pages in a bullet journal where you can write out your plans and notes for the week. Many people find that having an overview of their weekly plan is useful for keeping track of tasks and staying focused.

New to Bullet Journaling? This article is part of a series on how to start a bullet journal.

What is a weekly spread?

A weekly spread is a two-page layout in your bullet journal that helps you plan and track your week. It often includes a mini calendar, weekly to-do list, notes section. Most importantly, it will have designated areas for each day of the week.

An open notebook on a wood table. The notebook has a weekly spread containing a mini calendar, weekly schedule area, the days of the week laid out evenly with some notes under each day, a habit tracker, and a weekly meal plan.

This type of layout is used like a conventional planner, to help plan and prepare for the week ahead.

While weekly spreads aren’t originally part of the bullet journal method, it’s one of the most popular layout ideas, and for good reason – it’s just so DARN useful!

Why make weekly spreads?

Weekly spreads are useful for lots of reasons:

  • They help you see your week at a glance
  • They help you organize your week
  • They help you track your progress on weekly tasks
  • They’re a good place to write quick notes each day

Having a view of your week all on one page helps you visualize your tasks and keep track of what’s coming up.

Bullet journal weekly vs daily spreads

In the bullet journal method, rapid-logging is the term for writing quick bulleted notes for tasks, ideas, and reminders. If you want to keep your daily rapid-logging organized you can create dedicated daily and/or weekly spreads to put them in. But which type should you make, daily or weekly? If you write a lot of notes in one day, daily spreads might be better for you. If you just have a few things to jot down each day, use a weekly spread.

Part of the fun of bullet journaling is that you can customize your planner to suit your needs. While creating layouts isn’t really necessary for a bullet journal to be useful, many people enjoy making them, myself included. How To Get Started With A Bullet Journal Weekly Spread

The best way to get started with a bullet journal weekly spread is by looking at some examples and maybe trying something that you like.

– The first week of the month is always a good time to plan out your goals for the month. This can be as simple as writing down a list of things you’d like to achieve or more detailed plans broken down by week.

– If you have any appointments or events, you can jot them down in your weeklies before you start decorating. This will help you to stay organized and avoid any clashes.

– Try out different weeklies to see what works best for you. Some people prefer a more minimalist style while others like to have a lot of information included in their spreads. Find what works best for you and stick with it!

– Don’t be afraid to experiment with your weeklies. If you find that something isn’t working for you, try changing it up. The great thing about bullet journals is that they can be customized to fit your needs!

– Once you have everything planned out, it’s time to start decorating. This can be done with stickers, washi tape, or doodles. Have fun with it and make your weekly spreads reflect your personality!
